Founded in 2006 by Lauren Barker Hurley and later joined by her husband, Jason, Paws About Town has grown into a trusted part of the Newton community. We’ve been caring for pups across generations—often for the full lives of beloved family dogs.
From first walks to final goodbyes, and every joyful moment in between, we’ve been honored to grow alongside the families we serve. Many of our earliest clients are still with us today and now, we’re walking dogs for their kids, too.
We keep things personal. Our clients work directly with us, and every service is tailored to your dog’s unique needs. Whether it’s a city stroll, a woodland hike, or a cozy stay at our home-based Pet Vacation Home, your pup is treated like one of our own.
We’re not a franchise we’re a family. And we hope to pass this business on to the next generation, keeping the same spirit of connection, trust, and care alive for years to come.
